As a company with our roots and history in Harford County we are proud to call it home. Our little corner of the state boasts some of its most picturesque scenery and most historic towns, monuments and landscapes in the state of Maryland. Not to mention it’s a great place to live.

Geography & Landmarks

Harford County is 527 sq. miles located in the north eastern part of the state bordering Baltimore and Cecil counties in Maryland, and York and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.

Founded in 1773 and named for Henry Harford(c.1759-1834), many historic landmarks can be seen and
visited here. The Concord Point Lighthouse in Havre De Grace built in 1827 has pleasing views of the Chesapeake Bay. The grand porch of the Liriodendron Mansion (c.1850) is a sight to behold when its trellises are dripping with purple wisteria in early May. Harford county is home to one of the oldest topiary gardens on the East Coast at LaDew. Time spent walking through the serene and impressive landscapes will not be time wasted.

Place to Learn and Grow

As of July 2015 the population estimate from the US census was 250,290. Public schools in the county were rated #5 of 24 districts in the state of Maryland; #2 for athletics according to k12.niche.com. The average cost of a home is $278,500, which makes living here both affordable and family friendly. There are many business and employment opportunities in the county such as BRAC in Aberdeen. Harford County is one of the most technological and entrepreneurial areas of Maryland, with programs like Harford’s Business Edge, the GroundFloor at Harford, and the Harford Business Innovation Center.

There are several charming little towns in Harford county offering wide variety of things to do. Havre de Grace’s waterfront promenade, renowned restaurants, unique shopping attractions, as well as the Steppingstone and Decoy Museums make for an enchanting day trip with something for the whole family. In downtown Bel Air enjoy a day of boutique shopping topped off with award winning food and drinks from one of the many restaurants, pubs or bistros. Catch a game in Aberdeen. The most populated town in the county is the home of the Iron Birds minor league baseball team and Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Natural Beauty

 Ma and Pa trailhead entrance Nature abounds here. The Ma&Pa trail winds it’s way through the county with biking, riding and walking trails. You will be stunned by the views from the famous King and Queen seat at Rocks State Park in Forest Hill which has been featured in many major films and television shows. While waterfront attractions such as the Anita C Leight Estuary Center in Edgewood offer kayaking, naturalist education and children’s events. Our county is the home to many beautiful farms and historic homes, a Sunday afternoon ride through the rural landscape is a nostalgic pastime.

Harford County is very community centered and hosts several popular events throughout the year including the annual Farm Fair, Food and Wine Festivals, and various cultural events hosted by the Center for the Arts. Support local agriculture at the farmer’s market in Bel Air (April through October). Join the fun and ring in the season at a holiday parade or event on Main Street (Christmas, Fourth of July, Trick or Treating).
